Hi. I am a friend of your mother's. You might remember that I met you and Heather back in March in the 6th floor waiting area at Covenant. I am an ER resident and came by the hospital lounge a few times to see how everything was progressing with Sam. Unfortunately, I had a couple of rotations away from the hospital and lost touch with your mom. I just did not have a way to reach her to let her know that I was still thinking of her, Sam, and all of you.
I am so happy that Sam is doing better. Although I never met Sam, for the past 6 months, I have thought of him and your family almost everyday. I have asked just about everyone I know to please pray for him. I just cannot find the right words to express how thankful I am that he is healing. He most definitely is a miracle boy.
Sam is a lucky man to continuously receive the unconditional love that your family so selflessly provides everyday. I am truly blessed that my path has crossed with Sam's and with all of you. Sam is truly an inspiration. I would like to meet him someday and thank him for touching my life with his example of strength, courage, and perseverance.
Please tell Maureen that I am sorry for losing touch.
