My name is Katie and I am a physical therapy student at Grand Valley State University. I was doing my intership at Covenant-Cooper Hospital last Feb when Sam was first admitted for his accident. I had one small encounter in Sam's room to help fit him for his PRAFO boots, and the few minutes I was in there I was able to see the story of his life through all of the pictures and information I got from his medical history, and I was completely moved. I have been keeping up on his progress through articles in the Saginaw News that my boyfriend's mom has been cutting out for me, I must say that I am so amazed and thankful for the progress that he has made, and it is truely a miracle that he is here with us now. It is his story and life that makes me so grateful to be in the field that I am into hear of amazing stories like Sam's, and have the opportunity to work with people like Sam. I was wondering if you had links to more information on Sam's accident , and the research that he was doing before the accident ,and process of his recovery, as I would like to introduce Sam's story to my classmates and maybe raise a little money to donate to your family for Sam's recovery. I think it would be great for thing for my class to do during this holiday season as we have one last opportunity to do something like this because we are graduating in April. Thank you for all of your help. I did take a look at the blog site, and saw the pictures. They were very moving. I will keep Sam, and you and your family in my prayers.
