More kind souls have taken pity on my poor little brother and have emailed him little bits of encouragement.  To see even more emails, look under the file "Lonely Sam's Emails".  So if you want to drop this guy a little note (especially since it is almost Valentine's Day...2 year anniversary of the accident) he would be especially thrilled and would be your best friend even, probably.  Well, not your best friend (he's not eight) but he would love reading it and might even smile a little bit.  So...

EMAIL SAM AND SAY A QUICK HELLO.  I KNOW YOU WANT TO SO DON'T PUT IT OFF.  COME ON.  EVERYONE IS DOING IT.  ALL THE POPULAR KIDS ARE WRITING.  PEER PRESSURE.  PEER PRESSURE.

Hi Sam, I have been reading your blog since it started and I am amazed by not only your progress but your family. I have known your dad for quite some time but have only come to know the rest of you since that day in Feb. You are a blessed man. Your family loves you so much. Your sisters just crack me up. Don't ever doubt how much they care for you. Thanks for letting the rest of us into your life. We have prayed for you and your family and continue to do so. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you this summer on the rail trail.

Sam, we've never met, but I think you know both my sons, Gary & Nic Palmer. They both went to SASA, Nic is graduating this year (if he ever finishes his on-line, Japanese class). Nic is going to Kettering in July & Gary is married & will graduate from SVSU this summer. I'm stuck in the house pretty much since I'm in a wheelchair with Parkinson's. I,too, was in a coma (for 3 weeks) in 2001 when my bowel perforated. I spent a total of 3 months in the hospital & nursing home. You know what I hated? Every time a dr came in they asked me if I knew where I was. I didn't care where I was, I couldn't leave! I had amazing hallucinations while in the coma, I was in the Olympics & a lot of other fun stuff.

Your family is too funny, I've enjoyed following your progress thru their blog. Except when you've had set backs. You'll never know how many of us were praying for you. Keep up the good work! ----Deann

Hi Sam,
Just wanted to say hello and tell you how glad I am that you are doing so much better. It's very nice that your sisters have the blog to keep people posted . You are very lucky to have such a wonderful family, although I know I don't have to tell you that ,do I :)  I'm really looking forward to someday meeting you and your sisters. I feel like I know you all already.  I've posted a message in your blog before. I'm the one that works at Meijer  . so maybe someday. till then

take care  .......      Margaret
