This valentine was sent in a brown box (which made my mom and I very curious).  We ended up peeking in it before Valentine's Day (though we didn't read it).  It is a homemade book with three beautiful pages of valentines made with red and silver foil (and created by three very talented girls:  Hanna, Kaeleigh and Taylor).

Happy Valentine's Day, Sam!

Greetings from St. George in beautiful southern Utah!  We live in a small community called Winchester Hills which is about 8 miles out of St. George.  We are surrounded by awesome red rock mountains and lava beds.  Zion National Park is close by and a great place for hiking.  We were there this past weekend.  Every scene in the Park is a special reminder of God's glorious work.

We have a hobby farm with a pony, milking goats, chickens, rabbits (both wild and domestic), dogs and cats.  Our girls, Taylor (12 and born at 32 weeks gestation), Hanna (9) and Kaeleigh (7) take care of all the animal chores.  Discovery and exploration abound here.  The girls love all of God's creations.

You have made tremendous progress this past year, Sam.  You have worked hard at your recovery.  Congratulations!  With your resolve you can attain your ambition of becoming a physician.  You and your family's determination and love for one another will continue to reap rewards.

You and your family are in our prayers.

Best wishes for a lifetime of achievement, Sam!

Kimberly Salian

The Salians also gave Sam a very cool  t-shirt that he will wear today as part of his valentine picture!
