I am posting from Ann Arbor. We got here Friday night but I didn't get to see Sam until Saturday. The anticipation of walking down to his room was almost too much to bear (I haven't seen him in almost two weeks)! I walked super fast down to his room and...no one was there. I hunted him down and he was at the computer in the rec therapy room looking at this very site and all the posts you wonderful people have done! He saw the pictures of his car for the first time (his response-what will I drive?). I told him his spoiled rotten self will get a brand new ride. H
He practiced riding in his electric wheelchair. He played with me and the kids and we chit chatted forever. I am able to understand him so much better! I have to admit I started balling when I first saw him. You know what he did, he hugged me with both arms. That's the first hug I've gotten from my bro in over six months.
I love him more than I can express.
