Sam had a rough time with his lungs over the weekend, two pneumothorax (holes in the lungs with partial collapse).  He had to have one chest tube moved and another inserted.  When he had the second one done, he cried.  Good from a neuro standpoint, but just heartbreaking to hear.  On Friday night, his heart rate went up, his blood pressure went down and his left eye opened and he started to kick and cough.  The nurse said, "I think someone is starting to wake up."  Then in the night he had to be placed back on the drug to paralyze him because he had another lung situation happen.  The last neuro test they did was the best it has been yet and the technician performing the test said she couldn't believe how good it was.  Keep the prayers going, because it is working!
