I was awakened today with the words, "Good morning, sunshine" from Maur.  Sam continued to make improvement through the night.  Temperature is normal.  Left pupil briskly reactive.  All counts heading in the right direction.  Sam is turning his head away when they try to look in his eye.  He seems annoyed.  He is resistant when they want to do the suctions.  He's moving his shoulders.  He's responding to pain.  And his vessels are responding normally.

**We were so thrilled with the new developments that Katie is talking about here.  They would shine a flashlight in his eye and he would turn away.  And he was also reacting whenever the neurologist would pinch his armpit for a pain reaction (ouch!  Who wouldn't?)
