Today we had a service in the chapel in the hospital.  It was very nice.  We were feeling very anxious about Sam's eyes.  They were not reacting.  They thought he was brain dead.  But when they took him to get a CAT scan everything was fine.  Then around 8:00 p.m. Maur, Jim and everyone got some great news.  Sam's left eye was dilated to nine, but it shrunk and was not dilated to 4 and reacting.  Dr. Al said he was pleased.  The oxygen that Sam is receiving through the ventilator is now at 60%.

**Later, in rehab, Sam was telling my mom that he had a memory from the hospital of my mom saying the word, "nine" and it had something to do with his eye. He remembers that hearing this made him feel very frightened.   Then my mom remembered that back on March 5th she was in Sam's room and was telling us that his pupil was nine mm and fixed.
